EU’s Tusk Summoned Again To Testify In Poland

European Council President, Donald Tusk, has been summoned back to Poland to testify by Polish prosecutors in the death of Polish President Lech Kaczynski in a plane crash in 2010. Spokeswoman Ewa Bialik said that Tusk was summoned for July 5, reports Associated Press.

The ruling party in Poland is led by Jaroslaw Kaczynski who abhors EU interference in Polish sovereign affairs and has campaigned against Tusk for his recent reelection to the EU post.

“In March, Defense Minister Antoni Macierewicz notified prosecutors he suspects Tusk of being guilty of “diplomatic treason” against Poland in 2010. He said Tusk failed to secure Poland’s participation in the investigation of the crash and the return of the wreckage from Russia, thus preventing the full clarification of its causes,” again reported AP.

The fact that Russia refuses to return the wreckage should cause some to question the accident but the EU media is having none of it, pouring derision on Poland. The Law and Justice Party, who is in power, is being accused of reducing democratic and constitutional protections. The EU is also very upset that Poland, along with other Eastern European countries refuses to let in hundreds of thousands of Muslim migrants that have destroyed the culture of countries like Sweden and France.

It seems cracks in the EU structure are widening. Although the French election may have stalled the populist revolt and given comfort to globalist EU leaders, the relief may not last long as tensions boil to the surface in a variety of ways inside the European Union and currency bloc.
