Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s campaign to get Western leaders to provide Kyiv with fighter jets got a promising prospect on Monday when French President Emmanuel Macron announced that France has “opened the door” to training Ukrainian fighter pilots. The announcement came the day after Zelensky visited Paris as part of a broader tour of Europe. Macron also vowed to send more tanks to help with Ukraine’s defense against Russian aggression.

Jan Emeryk Rościszewski, Poland’s Ambassador to France, made the startling declaration that Poland would declare war on Russia should Ukraine lose the war. “If Ukraine fails to defend its independence,” the ambassador told French television, “we will have no choice, we will be forced to enter the conflict.”

Vote censorship!” calling on parliament to pass a non-partisan vote of no-confidence in the government to bring down the regime. By using dictatorial powers to enact the law and bypass a vote in parliament denied the elected representatives of the French people the chance to express their views on the matter. As the reform is opposed by nearly 80% of the population, the Macron regime has clearly thumbed its nose at its own people.
