Russian press is reporting that some Kurdish units in Northern Syria may join the Syrian armed forces under the control of President Bashar Assad, thus easing protection concerns raised when the United States withdrew from the region.

Kurdish units of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) armed coalition could be incorporated into the Syrian government forces, Al-Akhbar daily reported on Wednesday.

The newspaper says that Damascus pushes for the disbandment of the SDF, the People’s Protection Units (YPG) and police squads so that they join the Syrian army and law enforcement bodies, reported Russian state news agency TASS.

“The Kurds have not yet abandoned their plans to hold in their hands, under the support of the United States, oil wells in northeastern Syria, which provide for their current autonomous existence,” the article reads.

President Donald Trump has received massive Deep State, and their enabling media, criticism of his plans to withdraw America from endless Middle Eastern wars.

This development validates his decision; the region has a long history of tribal warfare and is not a priority for American troops.
