Video: Russia Invites Serbia To Sign Trade Agreement With Its Economic Union

Russia is making a huge push to bring the Orthodox Christian, Balkan nation of Serbia under its sphere of influence and away from the European Union. Moscow has never forgotten the bombing of the Serbian military industrial complex by the NATO alliance during the Balkan wars of the ’90s.

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, while visiting the Serbian capital, Belgrade, addressed a special session of the Serbian parliament on October 19. In his address, Medvedev said he expected Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic would sign a free-trade agreement with the Russia-led Eurasian Economic Union when she visits Moscow on October 25, wrote RFERL.

Russian state-run press made a big deal of Medvedev’s visit to Belgrade and highlighted possible trade agreements to be signed.
