The Kremlin’s long-term political nemesis, and anti-corruption caped crusader, Alexei Navalny, was released from prison after a total of fifty days behind bars in two periods. This development comes as some analysts suggest Moscow may be looking for a strategy to jail him for a longer sentence, to remove a constant irritant.

The recent prison stay of 20 days, comes on the back of 30 days earlier in the year. The crimes dealt with illegal protests and rallies across the Russian Federation.
