Armenia opposition leader Nikol Pashinyan met with leaders of the ruling coalition late in the week, attempting to find a peaceful solution to the constitutional crisis. “Yesterday evening I met with Dashnaktsutyun party representatives. I discussed the current situation and ways to settle it with Armen Rustamyan and Arsen Ambartsumyan,” Pashinyan wrote on Facebook on Friday, reported Russian state news agency TASS.

Pashinyan is holding firm on his demand that negotiations be held in the presences of reporters. Armenia’s Acting Prime Minister is refusing to agree to that scenario. “We are ready for negotiations, but there is no Karapetyan here. Negotiations should be held in the presence of reporters,” Pashinyan stressed.
“Karen Karepetyan still believes that negotiations would be futile in the presence of reporters,” Araratyan said in the statement. He noted that, according to the acting prime minister, Pashinyan should accept President Armen Sarkisyan’s proposal to hold a general discussion of the situation in the country and ways to settle it with participation of all parliamentary and non-parliamentary forces, reported TASS.
