Video: Moldovan Frozen Soviet Conflict Has Economic Consequences

The Soviet frozen conflict of Transdniester, the breakaway region of Moldova, has economic consequences in addition to the obvious political overtones. Farmers on the Moldovan side of the border, established in the early 1990s after the war between the government in Chisinaue and the pro-Russian separatists in Transdniester, are being prevented from farming their own land in a shake down for money by the rebel authorities.
