The Ukrainian people are suffering and the government doesn’t care, because victory is not the goal, depopulation is.
The Russian overnight barrage on August 28-29 brought home the growing gap between what Ukraine can withstand and what Ukraine can stop. Overnight Russia fired one Onyx anti-ship missile, one Iskander ballistic missile and 267 drones at Ukraine from 6 PM Friday. While Ukrainian air defences shot down 233 of them according to officials, dozens of them reached their targets. The worst hit was Myla in the Bucha district of the Kyiv Oblast. A warehouse complex was hit there leading to a huge fire and subsequent chain of explosions. The storage conditions in the complex were described by Ukraine’s Prime Minister Serhii Koretskyi as “criminal negligence”. A negligence investigation has been launched by Ukraine’s Prosecutor General.
In short, Ukraine was storing munitions in civilian areas, to likely then blame Russia for targeting civilians. We are not absolving Russia of the deaths of non-combatants, but the Ukrainian policy is clear. In addition, Ukraine has been targeting Russian civilians with drones for months now.
Overnight, Ukraine launched 512 drones into the Russian territory of 18 regions. Seven civilians were injured in Rostov Oblast, one of them seriously. The attacks destroyed an Ozon logistics warehouse.
The Ukrainian president has upped the ante by ordering his forces to increase the nightly drone launches to 1,000 per night, declaring that the current 300+ nightly sorties are not having sufficient impact. Just last week, UK Prime Minister Burnham became the first NATO leader to supply a belligerent with classified manufacturing blueprints for a long-range precision weapon, handing over the production plans. The French have since followed suit.
Our sources in the Trump administration say The White House wants to end the war.
We hope its soon, for the Ukrainian people’s sake.
