On 22 August 2024, Ukraine’s navy confirmed the sinking of the Conro Trade Russian Ferry at the Kavkaz port. The port is one of Russia’s largest passenger ports with its main purpose being to serve the crossing of the Kerch strait in Crimea.
A spokesperson for the Ukrainian navy stated that the vessel was targeted due to it being believed that it transported fuel and weapons to Russian forces, reported Inkerman.
Soon after the attack, local Russian sources, reported that 30 fuel tankers were onboard at the time of the strike, causing a large fire at the port.
It has not been confirmed what weapons had been used to facilitate the attack.

It’s actually funny Ukraine targets any military targets in Russia and it’s a “War Crime” in Russia; but if Russia targets anything Hospitals , Apartment buildings or Schools in Ukraine it’s “So what” they asked for it from Russia.
