Fires Burn Across Russia For Maslenitsa, An Old Pagan Spring Ritual

Across the Russian Federation fires burned as citizens enjoyed the Spring pagan ritual of Maslenitsa. Tradition demands the burning of an effigy and eating lots of blini, or Russian pancakes. The ritual is the original ‘burning man’.
