The Trump administration’s inauguration was supposed to hail a new era of cooperation between Moscow and the United States. It didn’t happen, for a variety of reasons, not least of which is the attempt of Obama holdover Deep State to keep the conflict alive, and ignore the Islamic terror threat against the U.S. However, communication is still active between the two sides.
American ambassador to Russia John Taft met with the newly appointed Russian ambassador to the United States, Anatoly Antonov in Moscow today for the first time, to discuss relations between Washington and Moscow, said the Russian Foreign Ministry, reported Reuters.
The two men discussed bilateral relations and “some international problems”, the ministry said.
