A Russian vessel is being evacuated having run aground in strong on shore winds in the Sea of Marmara near the Turkish city of Istanbul.
The vessel in question is named Volgodon – 203 and is designed to navigate rivers and coastal waters.
Weather conditions for the rescue are challenging due to high winds with severe gusts, but according to Turkish sources evacuation and rescue are progressing and all systems are operating nominally.
