KYIV – The town of Vugledar was taken by the Russian forces. The Ukrainian army Chief of Staff had to issue post-factum statement of retreat from the city, after the remaining troops had left. This is a sign of disorderly local collapse of the front line.
The Chief of Staff allowed Commanders of local battalions to recruit “so-called” volunteers theirselves, without using the services of “so-called” TCK – “Local military services recruitment outposts”. We assume, that this permit from the Office of the Usurper of the President of Ukraine will create independent squadrons each searching and employing local and loyal troops. This may lead to conflicts among the commanders and will eventually lead to local military conflicts among the top ranks of the army.
Mykola Voroshnov, aerial scout of the 3rd mechanized battalion of the 72nd OMBr with the call sign “Canada”, told about the departure of the 72nd brigade from Vugledar:
“Ugledar fell. Ugledar was doomed, it was impossible to save her. But it was possible to save people.
But the order to leave was never given.
Everyone in the city and around it understood that the countdown was on days, and then on hours, but the order to leave never came.
Where will we go? And x.. yo know. Until the enemy no longer has the strength to drive us away, we will go back.”
