On Wednesday, the European Parliament declared that Russia is committing war crimes in its war against Ukraine and that it has used “means of terrorism,” which has led to Russia being officially declared a state sponsor of terrorism, according to Inkerman.

The EU will also take measures to close and ban all Russian state-affiliated institutions in the EU that are spreading propaganda, and it will be preparing a ninth sanctions package against Moscow.
The classification of Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism comes as the war in Ukraine has seen the recent withdrawal of Russian troops from the city of Kherson and the false accusations of Russia attacking Poland when an errant Ukrainian air-defense missile landed on the Polish border and killed 2 people last week.
