Russian authorities said that an explosion involving a truck on Saturday caused a fire and destroyed a section of a bridge linking Russia and Crimea. The bridge is regarded as a key supply route for Russian troops in southern Ukraine.
The Crimean Bridge – also called Kerch Strait Bridge or Kerch Bridge – is a structure 19 kilometers (12 miles) in length that passes across the Kerch Strait and links southern Russia to the Crimean Peninsula. The Kerch Strait links the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov, writes Zero Hedge.
“Crimea, the bridge, the beginning. Everything illegal must be destroyed, everything stolen must be returned to Ukraine, everything occupied by Russia must be expelled,” wrote Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s aide, Mikhail Podoliak on Twitter.

Biden enables Z-man with his rhetoric and endless infusions of cash and materiel, but the MSM enables both of them, and their endless cheerleading for continuing this charade against all logic and the verdict – already present – of the history of the conflict. The MSM enables this, and is morally responsible for what will happen when the Russians transition from their “SMO” to a full-on military action. They have been fighting thus far with kid gloves in an effort to save Ukrainian lives and infrastructure . They have hardly even been trying thus far.
That is about to change, I fear. The next phase, probably by late-October when the ground starts freezing in northern Ukraine, will see the Russians inclined to move briskly and “get on with it” in a way the West and its MSM is smugly in denial about. Further, I suspect the smugness is firmly rooted in the unfounded assumption that we will “easily” prevail in a ground war head-to-head with the Russians. Given our “woke” emphases in the military these days, and our already-demonstrated inability to replace munitions already used, we will probably have our heads handed to us. This will probably result in a nuclear response, which seems to be something we are eager to escalate to, anyway. As usual, we are not consulted…

Easy way to maul the russkies without risking the lives of our US army. Instead of taking the russkies down a rung or two Ukraine is yanking the ladder away.

Sorry, as much as I realize how corrupt Ukraine was (is?), Russia will forever be the brutal aggressor that chose to invade and kill scores of innocent men, women, and children and deserves whatever grief comes its way.
Do the Deep State operatives pushing all of this drink from the well of their own propaganda machine? Do they drink their own Kool-Aid to the extent that they buy-into the lies and nonsense that they have put up CNN and its ilk to spew, so that you (the serfs) get a highly skewed and inaccurate backstory to all of this? Do they not understand the the ramifications of the “bigger picture” they themselves have orchestrated: that we have instigated this from 2014 (arguably, since the highly provocative NATO summit of 2008); that the Russians perceive the EXACT same threat to themselves with a NATO-member Ukraine sharing a hundreds-of-miles-long border with them that WE would have if they put a naked threat up against us in northern Mexico; and that, all the while, the Russians have been expending a much more reduced effort in Ukraine than they could have? They have shown lots of restraint, at the risk of increased casualties they could have avoided in a full-press attack from the get-go.
By what is commonly acknowledged, the Ukrainians have taken 70,000+ DEAD military casualties, and possibly a lot more than that in wounded personnel. They don’t have much left. The Russians seem to have something like 15,000 dead; they are fighting with deliberate restraint, and still prevailing in almost every battle. BTW, this is against “NATO-equipped and trained” Ukrainian regulars. This doesn’t bode well for us if we and other NATO forces engage on the ground with them. This heightens the prospects of the conflict going nuclear once we get seriously backed up into a corner.
I don’t like saying any of this. I am an American citizen, born and raised, and I love my country. But we’ve already done more than our share of fomenting conflicts around the world in the entire span – and well beyond – of the 65 years I have been treading this mortal coil. Enough of this! I do not consent to the proliferation of mushroom clouds, here or elsewhere, ESPECIALLY at our de facto instigation!
