During WWII, large sections of the Ukrainian population collaborated with Nazi Germany, before later fighting with the Soviets. It is estimated that 25% of Ukraine sympathizes with this historical Nazi-connected movement.

During recent peace negotiations in an attempt to reach a ceasefire and end the conflict in Eastern Europe, the Ukrainian delegation showed up dressed in flight jackets of ‘Air Holychyna, a division of the Waffen SS during WWII, in order to taunt the Russian delegation.

Below is photo documentation of the Ukrainian delegation at recent ceasefire talks, and photo evidence of the jackets worn, along with information on the Halychyna division of the Nazi armed forces during WWII.

Sixty years ago, on July 16, 1944 the Ukrainians of the Halychyna SS division engaged Soviet troops near the Western Ukrainian town of Brody. A week later, only 3,000 out of their original 14,000 were alive, and the Soviets, fulfilling Stalin’s order to take no prisoners, killed them as “deserters” from the Red Army, wrote the Kyiv Post.

Specifically named…were the Organisation of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN) and its militant offshoot the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA). Both organisations were radically anti-Semitic and anti-Polish and engaged in widespread violence against both groups. By the end of the Second World War, several thousand Jews and up to a hundred thousand Poles (though estimates vary) were dead at their hands. This wasn’t a hidden agenda. In its 1941 manifesto, the Stepan Bandera wing of the OUN explicitly called on its members to “liquidate undesirable Poles, Muscovites, and Jews”. A significant portion of the group’s leadership served at one time or another in German-led military formations engaged in crimes against humanity. This reality has been obscured by the Ukrainian government and its in-house historian Volodymyr Viatrovych, who heads the Ukrainian Institute of National Memory, wrote Open Democracy.

“Hi, delegates, remember when we murdered lots of you? Remember these jackets? Huh? So, how about a cease fire, okay?”

One of us mis-read the article! I thought it said the Ukrainians were butchered by the Russians, at Stalin’s order to take no prisoners. Or perhaps I misunderstood your comment?

You are right in your reading but you are Wrong in the context. The Ukrainians were, not only Nazi sympathizers they picked up Arms and fought for them(Nazis) against their own country(USSR and by proxy the Allies) so because they were ‘Traitors’ they were Killed. That is the punishment for Traitors, DEATH!!!

What a laugh. Ukrainians collaborated with the Nazis?! Sure they did. so did even Sweden on occasion, for example. But it was under duress. However the one great country that willingly collaborated with the Nazis was–wait for it!–Russia. Right up ’till the time Hiter double crossed them (caught them cold, despite Churchill’s warnings) Stalin was working with Hitler, figuring they’d divide up Europe between them. Stalin only survived because he controlled the media. And Russia’s getting back to that today.

If I had to choose between fighting with foreign national socialaists or foreign communists I would probably choose the national socialists. The reason being is that the socialist will let you keep your property, the communists won’t. In the 20th century the difference between socialism and communism was defined as socialism was government CONTROL of the factors of production: land, labor and capital. Communism went further and was government OWNERSHIP of the factors of production. So I would keep my stuff and when it was over, work to get rid of the socialism. Also remember at the time of World War II the Soviets already had over a dozen years worth of gulags. So the choice was between the devil you know and the one you don’t know so well.

Fact is that Ukraine has been a feeding, breeding, training ground for neo-nazis especially towards their efforts in ethnic cleansing, viz, blacks and muslims, in addition to harboring and hiding biolabs which are funded by the US.

This does not make much sense to me. The jackets in question are made of fabrics that did not exist in mass production during WW2. Synthetic fabric cloth and draw strings. Elastic wrist bands. Synthetic zippers. Maybe velcro on the palm straps. So how can these represent what members of a Waffin SS unit would wear? Also, “Flight jackets” were worn by pilots and air crewmen who were members of the German Air Force (the Luftwaffe) NOT Waffin SS.

The photos do not jive much either. Of the four men shown modeling the jackets in question, (maybe) only one of is sitting at what is implied to be the negotiating table on the Ukraine side, and he is not wearing the same jacket there either.

This does not pass the “smell test” and I call BS on it.

Thank you for your comment but you are wrong. Regarding the flight jackets, of course these are recreations and not the same materials used in WWII. And you are wrong, the Holychyna SS battalion included aircraft and was not Luftwaffe, kind of like the US Delta Force has it’s own aircraft. It was a stand alone unit.

The people in the photos are the same.

Thank you for making my point for me. You are 100% correct. And the same will in this war. When you give arms to the citizens you are arming traitors. Shot first and let God sort the shaff from the wheat…
