Albania’s Prime Minister Edi Rama said that the comment of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic on possible armed conflict with Kosovo as the one in Nagorno-Karabakh if a peace agreement is not reached, is for domestic consumption.
“Kosovo is an independent sovereign state. Serbia has lost the war,” Rama said during an Albanian- based TV show “Open”.
“Kosovo has made mistakes in the diplomatic war and lost ground. But no spasm coming from Serbia has anything to do with it. Serbia has lost Kosovo. These are just spasms and statements for internal consumption,” Rama said.
Yesterday President Vucic told media after a meeting with the Quint countries that the example between Armenia and Azerbaijan shows that the same thing can happen in Kosovo.
These statements were opposed by the Kosovo government, which asked the EU to react.
