Russia wants to install the son of the notorious Libyan leader Muammar Gadafi, Said al Islam Gadafi, as the new ruler of Libya.

“Dr. Seif al-Islam and those who support him are precisely certain tribes, in certain areas of the country, and all this should be an integral part of the overall political process with the participation of other political parties that are located in Tobruk, Tripoli, Misrata”, – stressed Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov told RIA Novosti.

In November, Lev Dengov, head of the Russian liaison group on intra-Libyan settlement, said that Seif al-Islam Gaddafi is one of the participants in the settlement process in the country.

According to him, in Libya there is still “a certain group of people who, as well as supported, and supports everything connected with Gaddafi and his family.” This, as Dengov noted, is due to the fact that “they used to live better before,” wrote Russian news outlet RIA Novosti.

There remains a slight, little problem that Said al Islam Gadafi Muhammad al-Kaylushi is wanted by the International Criminal Court, which would have to be resolved before elections could be held stated the Russian state press.
