Vice President Mike Pence To Travel To Georgia

According to the White House The United States (US) Vice President Mike Pence will pay a visit to Estonia, Georgia, and Montenegro in July 30-August 2, 2017.


In Georgia, the Vice President will meet with President Giorgi Margvelashvili and Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili. He will also visit U.S. and Georgian troops participating in the Noble Partner exercise.


Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili commented on his Facebook page on the forthcoming visit of US Vice President Mike Pence in Georgia.

“The Vice-President of the United States of America will visit Georgia in July.” Two months ago, during the visit of the Georgian delegation to the United States, I asked Pence to visit our country when we met, a very important step on the part of America in order to express a clear position and support for Georgia ” – reads the statement of the Prime Minister.

According to the White House, Pence will travel to Tbilisi after his visit to Estonia, while later he will move to Montenegro.


In Tallinn, Estonia, the Vice President will meet with Estonian Prime Minister Jüri Ratas and other officials to discuss bilateral issues.  The Vice President will also meet with the three Baltic leaders, President Kersti Kaljulaid of Estonia, President Raimonds Vējonis of Latvia, and President Dalia Grybauskaitė of Lithuania.

In Podgorica, Montenegro, the Vice President will meet with Montenegrin President Filip Vujanović and Prime Minister Duško Marković.  The Vice President will also participate with leaders from across the Western Balkans in an Adriatic Charter Summit – says the White House website.
