The Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, Joseph Dunford, and Chief of the General Staff of Russia’s Armed Forces, Valery Gerasimov, will meet in Baku in the coming days.
According to the Pentagon press office, Gerasimov and Dunford “will discuss a variety of issues, including the current state of US-Russian military relations and the importance of consistent and clear military-to-military communication to prevent miscalculation and potential crises.”
Details of the agenda of the upcoming talks between the two military leaders were disclosed. The meeting will be hold on the eve of the Munich security conference, 17 February 2017.
