Kremlin Denies Possible Trump Putin Meeting

Talks regarding a possible meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President-elect Donald Trump are not being conducted, declared the press-secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, on Sunday.

“There are no talks about the meeting yet,” Peskov said, reported RT.

Earlier, the British newspaper Sunday Times reported that the US President-elect is going to conduct his first visit to Iceland and will met with Vladimir Putin. In addition, the Sunday Times reported that the parties allegedly discussed these plans in the Russian embassy in London and that Moscow plans to agree on holding the summit.

The Russian Embassy in the United Kingdom, for its part, called the reports “nonsense”.

Representatives of the elected president of the United States also denied the British newspaper posts, calling it “an absolute lie”.
