Putin Reacts To The Murder Of Russian Ambassador In Turkey

Russian President Vladimir Putin recently made comments about the murder of the Russian Ambassador, Andrei Karlov, in Ankara.

“The message came from Turkey, where the Russian ambassador was cowardly killed,” said Vladimir Putin. “This crime that was committed, this is a provocation aimed to disrupt the normalization of Turkish-Russian relations,” reported Tsargrad TV.

At the same time it should be understood that the killers set out to not only disrupt relations between Moscow and Ankara, but to also sabotage the settlement of the conflict in Syria. The response to the actions of provocateurs can only be the strengthening of Russia’s struggle against terrorism, Putin declared.

In addition, Vladimir Putin is convinced of the need to strengthen the protection of Russian diplomatic missions in Turkey. Moscow is willing to receive assurances from the Turkish side to ensure the safety of Russian diplomatic facilities.
