Over the past years, countless American journalists have embedded with Zelensky’s military. On the Russian side, there’s only one: Patrick Lancaster.
These are not the actions of a Ukrainian leader who wants peace.
Witkoff left Moscow last night and travelled to Baku, Azerbaijan, which just signed a peace deal with Armenia, ending 40 years of war.
Now reports from the region declare Russian forces are about to ‘cut off’ and encircle Kyiv’s forces, forcing a withdrawal to prevent further destruction of the army.
The peace process in Ukraine is not a process that will be completed quickly.
Moscow could also be satisfied by a less radical step, such as a pledge not to intensify the implementation of existing sanctions.
So, “even NATO realizes that Zelensky’s time is up. It’s just unfortunate that this realization came at the cost of the lives of hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian citizens,” it stated.
“The Europeans want sanctions, not peace.”
Russian media sources pushed back on the damage assessment.
