Chinese leader Xi Jinping arrived in Moscow on Monday for meetings with Russian President Vladimir Putin in what Beijing has described as a “trip for peace.” The White House, however, has said, “We don’t support calls for a ceasefire right now.”
After the International Criminal Court based in The Hague issued an arrest warrant last week for Russian President Vladimir Putin for alleged human rights abuses in Ukraine, Germany announced over the weekend that it will arrest Putin should he ever travel to its territory.
In an interview with CBS’ “Face the Nation” on Sunday, CIA Director William Burns confirmed the Biden administration’s claims that China is considering sending lethal weapons to Russia. “We’re confident that the Chinese leadership is considering the provision of lethal equipment,” Burns said.

Hundreds of anti-war protesters gathered in front of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington D.C. on Sunday to protest the war in Ukraine. The turnout of thousands that organizers had anticipated did not materialize. The event called “Rage Against the War Machine,” sponsored by the Libertarian Party and the People’s Party, was broadcast live stream on YouTube with a few thousand viewers. The event included an eclectic group of speakers, the most significant being Dennis Kucinich, Tulsi Gabbard, and Ron Paul.
In an interview with the Russian publication Sputnik, Ukrainian whistleblower Andrii Telizhenko discussed the corrupt activities of the Biden family in Ukraine, as well as Washington’s hijacking of Ukrainian sovereignty.
Dömötör called the resolution “everything but a call for peace, more like a big step towards the escalation of the war. The 7th point of the resolution calls for deliveries of more armored vehicles and ammunition, to be followed by long-distance missile systems and fighter jets to the war-torn country.”
According to a report by investigative journalist Jack Murphy that was released Sunday, the CIA has been using the intelligence services of a European NATO country to conduct sabotage attacks in Russian territory since Russia invaded Ukraine in February. The report cites multiple unnamed former US intelligence and military officials.
