Russia Says It Extradited Ukrainian Cell Member From Russian General Assassination In Turkey

Russia’s FSB announces the arrest of 42-year-old Ignat Kuzin, accused of killing Russian Lt. General Yaroslav Moskalik, deputy head of the General Staff’s Main Operations Directorate.

According to his own statements, Ignat Kuzin was recruited by the Ukrainian secret service in 2023. His actions were coordinated by a certain “Vadim” from the Kyiv region. Six months before the attack, on Vadim’s instructions, he moved into the same building as Moskalik and shadowed him.

Kuzin was captured in Istanbul.  The Kremlin declares he is a Ukrainian intelligence agent.

FSB claims he planted a homemade bomb in a Volkswagen Golf using components prepared in Moscow Oblast.

After the attack, Kuzin allegelcy crossed the border into Turkey. He was arrested in Istanbul and later extradited to Russia.
