As President* Biden withdraws diplomats and families from the U.S. embassy in Kyiv, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy declared ‘It’s time we begin offensive actions’ aimed at securing our national interests.” The speech was made yesterday to Ukrainian military intelligence.
Russia has denied it is preparing to invade Western Ukraine from the Donbass region, where a hot war has simmered between the Ukrainian military and Russian separatists since 2014. The Kremlin has been supporting the region for years and has moved a significant amount of forces within a few hundred miles of the Ukrainian border for military exercises. Russia annexed the Crimean Peninsula in 2014 as well.
Many believe the Biden* administration is pushing for a war in the region to take the public’s eye off the disastrous results of Democrat policies that have manifested themselves horribly for the American people after only one year in office. The White House has been coordinating with Ukraine leadership in recent weeks.
‘AN ABUNDANCE OF CAUTION’: In a rare Sunday night conference call for reporters, the State Department announced it is ordering the families of U.S. government employees at the embassy in Kyiv to leave immediately and telling “non-emergency” embassy employees their departure is authorized on a voluntary basis. Other American citizens in Ukraine are also being urged to consider leaving as well, reported The Washington Examiner.
