Germany: Putin Nemesis Navalny Poisoned With Novichok Nerve Agent

Today the German government confirmed ‘without a doubt’ that Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny, currently in a coma in a German hospital after being airlifted from Siberia, was poisoned with a nerve agent from the Novichok family, similar to the Skripal poisonings in England.

“The Russian government is urged to explain the incident … the substance inNavalny’s organism is undoubtedly from the Novichok family,” said government spokesman Steffen Seibert in a statement, reported The Moscow Times.

Reacting to the news, Navalny aide Leonid Volkov linked the poisoning to Russian President Vladimir Putin

“In 2020, poisoning Navalny with Novichok is like leaving (Putin’s) autograph at the crime scene,” Volkov wrote on Twitter.
