The Trump administration has delayed the released of $250 million in foreign military aid to Ukraine as POTUS has requested a review of the use of the funds. The move comes as Trump searches for a way to better relations with Moscow, possibly preventing the Kremlin moving closer to China, and gaining Russian help with the Iranian situation, which the administration sees as one of the greatest threats to U.S. and NATO security.

President Donald Trump asked his national security team to review the funding program, known as the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative, in order to ensure the money is being used in the best interest of the United States, declared a senior administration official, reported Politico.

For the 2019 fiscal year, lawmakers allocated $250 million in security aid to Ukraine, including money for weapons, training, equipment and intelligence support. Specifically, Congress set aside $50 million for weaponry.

The delay could lead to a cancellation of the financial outlay if certain deadlines are not met in September.

In a related matter, Trump cancelled a planned trip to Poland where he was to meet Ukrainian President Zelenskiy during WWII anniversary celebrations. Vice President Pence stood in for Trump and declared today in Warsaw, Washington “stands with the people of Ukraine and most especially since 2014, we have stood strongly for the territorial integrity of Ukraine.

“And I can assure you that we will continue to stand with the people of Ukraine on your security, on territorial integrity, including Ukraine’s rightful claim to Crimea.”

Recent news reports have shed light on the Ukrainian governments attempts during the 2016 election to swing the poll towards Hillary Clinton.

But the Ukraine has offered many times to share such information and evidence about Obama’s interference and possible collusion in the 2016 Hillary campaign/election. Rudy Guilliani has even spoken publicly aboutit on TV.
