Turkey A NATO Ally? Turkish Navy Drills With Russian Black Sea Fleet

The Islamic nation of Turkey, which is supposed to be a NATO ally, where in reality President Recep Erdogan is turning the country into an Islamic theocracy, is now taking part in naval drills with the Russian Black Sea Fleet. This is in addition to purchasing the Russian S-400 air defense system which was designed to shoot down American F-35, and F-22 fighter jets.

The Russian Black Sea Fleet held joint drills with the Turkish Navy whose naval group completed its business call at the port of Novorossiysk, the Fleet’s press office reported on Friday, reported Russian state news agency TASS.

“During the drills, the patrol ship Vasily Bykov, the sea-going minesweeper Valentin Pikul of the Novorossiysk naval base held joint Russian-Turkish drills with the foreign corvette Burgazada and the minesweeper Akcay,” the press office said in a statement.

The warships’ crews also practiced interaction and maneuvering in the Black Sea and the escort of a group of ships in the zone of a possible mine danger. After the drills, the Turkish warships left the Russian waters.

As was reported earlier, the corvette Burgazada and the minesweeper Akcay made a business call at the port of Novorossiysk on March 6 as part of the Turkish Navy’s Mavy Vatan-2019 national drills that envisaged visiting a foreign port.

When is someone in the Trump administration going to say the emperor has no clothes and admit Turkey cannot be counted on in a conflict with our adversaries?

President Erdogan also declared today he is ready to purchase the S-500 air defense system from Russia in the future.

“The S-400 issue is a done deal, and we will not reject it under any circumstances. We have come to an agreement with Russia, and there will possibly be a joint production. Maybe we will consider S-500 options after the S-400 deal,” reported TASS.
