UPDATE: SOURCE – Umerov is in Boca Raton. Has already given the witness to the FBI. The meeting took place in Miami DOJ yesterday. It seems Zelenskiy’s former defense minister has turned state’s evidence.
The Telegraph reports Zelensky is losing domestic support amid a major corruption scandal and worsening battlefield setbacks. Despite Ukraine facing a massive budget crisis and dwindling Western funds, he’s signing huge arms “deals” that the country cannot afford, which critics say amounts to political fantasy rather than strategy. With energy infrastructure collapsing, corruption allegations close to his inner circle, rising desertions, and Russian forces advancing, Zelensky’s behaviour looks increasingly desperate—raising fears for Ukraine’s stability and future. In other news, former Defense Minister Umerov, who had been sent to the UK to deal with the Admiralty in prosecuting the war in Ukraine, refused to return to Ukraine. Media reports now claim he has traveled to the United States and has applied for asylum. We cannot verify the asylum claim. Umerov personally informed President Zelensky about his decision, according to media reports.
A source told CDM/Tsarizm Umerov’s brother works in Pentagon. He has property in Miami, New York. All bought using the money he laundered in the MInistry of Defense of Ukraine.
Ukrainian media has been reporting on Umerov corruption:
In Boca Raton, Leyla Umerova was registered at a villa linked to her American license plate from October 10, 2017, until July 2025. Rustem Umerov also listed the same address in 2017. The property’s estimated value is over $900,000, and the rent is $7,000 per month, according to activists.
Activists discovered that Umerov rented a two-bedroom apartment in Manhattan, New York City, measuring 90.2 square meters from November 6, 2015, until July 2025. According to Usphonebook, Umerov’s brother, Aslan Omer Kyrymly, is also registered in the same apartment. Rent for this apartment is approximately $7,700 per month, and its value is $1.3 million.
Another villa, where Umerov’s brother and family, as well as Rustem’s parents, were registered, measures 283 square meters and has an expected market value of $1.29 million. Rent for this villa is $10,800 per month, according to the Center for Property Management.
In total, Umerov owned three apartments and four villas in Miami, plus an apartment in New York City, worth a total of $8.5 million. The most compromising detail about the former defense minister was that he purchased all of these properties within the last six years, when he left business and politics for the executive branch.
Politico reports — The White House is preparing to unveil a secret Ukraine–Russia peace plan — possibly within days. Trump’s team negotiated it directly with Moscow, without Ukraine or Europe at the table. The White House is confident and plans to present it to Ukraine as a fait accompli, saying Zelensky, under pressure, will have little choice. As for Europe: “We don’t really care,” a senior official says.
