Watch Armenian Lawmakers Set Off Smoke Bombs In Parliament

Police continued to detain dozens of protestors in the Armenian capital of Yerevan as demonstrations entered the 9th day. Protestors are angry former President Serzh Sarkisian is being allowed to remain in power as prime minister. Armenia is locked in a deadly conflict with its neighbor Azerbaijan over the disputed territory of Nagorno-Karabakh. Violence repeatedly flares and many were killed in artillery duels as recently as 2016. Russia intervened to institute a ceasefire.
