A humanitarian group affiliated with the Ukrainian government announced their willingness to facilitate a prisoner exchange with the Donbass separatists. The formula for the exchange was stated as 228 for 42. The Donbass separatists have informed the Ukraine that they were holding 42 Ukrainian citizens and that they were interested in 228 of their personnel held by Kiev.
Ukrainian authorities reported that they hoped for the prisoner exchange to be completed before the end of the year.
