Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, long close to Russian President Vladimir Putin, has confirmed American journalist Tucker Carlson interviewed Putin yesterday in Moscow.
The interview was two hours long and will be posted on Tucker Carlson’s website.
Peskov is known to be very media savvy in the West and is the voice of the Russian president.
Moscow is abuzz with the development, as ordinary Russians hope for a breakthrough in the war and a path forward to peace to end the conflict.
The Putin government has been effective in putting most of the blame on Western regimes for the war in Donbass, and for the push to bring NATO to Russia’s border
Russians are literally connected in a familial sense with Ukraine, as Russia herself began in Kyiv-Rus centuries before. Many Russian and Ukrainian families have ties.
Moscow citizens are also upset over American politician’s threats to removed Tucker’s citizenship and prevent him from re-entering the United States.
