The Russian government has banned transgender operations, legally identifying as another sex without an operation, and transgenders adopting children, and annulled marriages where one person is transgender.
The law goes into force immediately.
Late last year, Russia passed a law banning the “propaganda” of LGBT relationships and lifestyles toward all ages, effectively outlawing public displays and media portrayals of non-heterosexual identities, reported The Moscow Times.
Russia has long boasted a ‘anti-gay’ law, which prevents the instruction of LGBT propaganda to minors.
