Reports are coming from the Odessa region of Ukraine on the Black Sea that multiple naval explosive mines have been released and swept out to open waters due to storms in the area.

Russian sources are saying they were deployed by Ukraine to stop Russian ship-based landings of troops around the ports of Odesa, Ochakov, Chernomorsk and Yuzhny.

Ukraine denies this and declare the devices were deployed by Russia in a blockade of Ukrainian ports to economic traffic.

It is not known how many mines have been lost however the devices could reach the Bosphorus Strait.
