Some wealthy Russians who have fled Vladimir Putin’s Russian Federation have been given police protection inside the United Kingdom after the murder and attempted murder of two prominent Russian emigres to Britain, one poisoned by nerve gas with his daughter, injuring 20 others.

“After the Salisbury poisoning, there’s a police car on constant duty under the window of my house,” reported Kommersant, a Russian newspaper, quoting an anonymous Russian emigre as saying Wednesday.

The Kremlin denied any involvement in the attempted assassination with nerve gas against former Russian spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia in Salisbury, England.
