Former Ukrainian air force pilot and prisoner of war, now member of Parliament, Nadiya Savchenko, traveled to the Eastern Ukrainian region of Donetsk, along with Vladimir Ruban, Ukrainian Center for Prisoner Releases Of The Officer Corps, to visit Ukrainian prisoners of war held by pro-Russian separatists.
“Ruban and Savchenko came to visit Ukrainian prisoners,” the source was quoted by the Donetsk news agency, reported Russian state news agency TASS.
Prisoner exchanges in the all-for-all format is one of the key provisions of the Package of Measures on the implementation of the Minsk agreements that was signed in the Belarusian capital Minsk on February 12 after marathon talks between the leaders of Russia, Germany, France and Ukraine.
