Jan Emeryk Rościszewski, Poland’s Ambassador to France, made the startling declaration that Poland would declare war on Russia should Ukraine lose the war. “If Ukraine fails to defend its independence,” the ambassador told French television, “we will have no choice, we will be forced to enter the conflict.”
After abruptly ousting her Prime Minister last week and replacing her with a designate approved by the Western security apparatus, the President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, working in coordination with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is moving to bring her country into the conflict in the neighboring country. This is causing serious consternation in the country as Moldova is bound to neutrality by its constitution.
Dömötör called the resolution “everything but a call for peace, more like a big step towards the escalation of the war. The 7th point of the resolution calls for deliveries of more armored vehicles and ammunition, to be followed by long-distance missile systems and fighter jets to the war-torn country.”
De Gaulle harshly criticized the recent decision by the United States and its European allies to supply heavy tanks to Ukraine, warning that the move puts the world on the brink of World War III. “This is the abyss on the edge of which we are standing,” he told Russian media.
Zelensky is using the war to escalate his policy of ethnic cleansing, hoping to reduce the minority populations in his western provinces by using them as front-line combat troops. These actions against ethnic minorities in Ukraine must be condemned as a war crime.
If political leaders in Brussels and Washington were interested in democracy, they would pay attention to the desires of their own constituents. While claiming the war is about “democracy” in Ukraine, they ignore democracy in their own countries. Based on the results of the new Project Europe survey, it is clear that Europeans expect their leaders to work towards a peaceful settlement of the conflict in Ukraine as soon as possible and to bring a quick end to the war.
