Iran is now calling the Persian Gulf it’s ‘sovereign territory’. The Islamic theocracy in Tehran has been looking to start a conflict with the West as a way to push back against the economic noose the Trump administration is tightening around the Mullah’s necks. Washington has worked to cut off oil revenue to Tehran since President Trump withdrew from the ‘Iran deal’ or JCPOA, which he calls the worst deal in U.S. history.
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Abbas Mousavi said Friday, “Iran has historic responsibility for protecting the Persian Gulf. We consider it as part of our territory and believe that the presence of foreign forces there is unacceptable,” Mousavi was quoted by the IRNA news agency as saying, reported Russian state news agency TASS.
The diplomat noted that Israel’s participation in the US coalition being created for protecting the Persian Gulf “represents an obvious infringement on Iran’s security and sovereignty.”
“The creation of this coalition will be considered as a major threat to Iran’s national security,” the diplomat said, stressing that the US and Israel would be responsible for the possible consequences.
Russia has been allied with Tehran since it launched an expeditionary force into Syria to prop up the Assad regime. Trump has tried to extricate American forces from the region, but Iran’s attempts to create a proxy army from its borders to Damascus troubles American national security experts.
Israel’s participation in the American Persian Gulf efforts also has angered the Mullah’s regime officials.
On July 17, US Special Representative for Iran Brian Hook said a forum involving 65 countries devoted to ensuring security of navigation in the Persian Gulf would be held in several weeks in Bahrain. US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said on July 23 that countries from different regions should participate in an international coalition on protecting navigation in the Persian Gulf. On August 6, Israel confirmed its readiness to join the coalition, added TASS.

Iran wants war. Too bad. But is anyone surprised? The trick will be eliminating the leadership, giving the citizens a chance to change the mess they’re in.

Iran is looking to drag the world into a long protracted war. The thinking is that all muslims around the world will unite in there solidarity with Iran to fight the godless western infidel. Do Christians have the same chutzpah?
