Former Russian President and Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, who is currently Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, told reporters on Tuesday that a ‘quiet partition’ of Ukraine among its neighbors “would be better than Ukraine in NATO or a World War.”
“Greed, malice, hatred, and ambitions are often stronger than reason and common sense. Poland, and let’s be honest, Hungary and Romania as well, have been dreaming for years of taking over Ukraine’s western regions,” Medvedev added. His statement marks the first time that a high-ranking Russian official, at least indirectly, has recognized the legitimate territorial claims of Romania, Hungary, and Poland to territories that are currently occupied by Ukraine.

Medvedev noted that Polish leaders have been talking to the Kiev regime about creating a confederation, “and from there it’s not far to go to a union as there once was.” He added that Poland and other countries are aspiring to implement these plans as soon as possible, “while the window of opportunity is open” and Russia and the collective West have not yet come to any agreements.
Hungary and Romania have both expressed concern over the mistreatment of their minority populations living in Ukraine which are denied basic freedoms by the Zelensky Regime. Meanwhile, several Romanian politicians have been calling for the return of northern Bucovina and southern Bessarabia, territories that were forcibly annexed by the Soviet Union at the end of World War II and then illegally incorporated into Ukraine.
