Russian President Vladimir Putin is attending an Orthodox Christmas Eve service at the Transfiguration Cathedral in St. Petersburg on Sunday, January 6. Christmas Day in the Julian calendar falls on January 7, not December 25, as in the Gregorian calendar, reported Ruptly.

Good for President Putin and a Happy Orthodox Christmas to him. Many may dislike Mr. Putin, but the fact remains that he is interested in his people, and he believes in their success as a nation. Who can fault a leader for that?
