The leaders of Kosovo and Serbia are making progress in today’s talks at the White House, US President Trump’s National Security Advisor Robert O’Brien stated.
Kosovo and Serbia leaders are meeting in Washington, D.C., on Thursday and Friday, in talks facilitated by O’Brien and Richard Grenell.
Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti said he had positive expectations from talks, and reiterated that Kosovo’s objective is a deal for mutual recognition.
President Aleksandar Vucic of Serbia stressed the alleged pressure exercised on him and vowed that he would not “surrender”.
Grenell denied media reports relying on sources from the Serbian dialogue team that they had been presented with a draft deal implying the recognition of Kosovo.
