U.S. President Donald Trump, on his way to a NATO summit in Europe, which will be full of tension and animosity, as Trump demands more defense spending from the European and Canadian leaders, was asked by reporters on Air Force One if Putin was a ‘friend or foe’. His response is sure to anger the Trump/Russia media and Deep State collaborators.

“As far as I’m concerned, a competitor,” he noted, adding that it would be good to get along with Russia and China.

While speaking about his upcoming trip, Trump said: “I have NATO, I have the UK which is in somewhat turmoil, and I have Putin. Frankly Putin may be the easiest of them all. Who would think?” reported Russian state news agency TASS.

The point has been made many times, that while yes, Russia is an adversary, which will push for its own advantage in military and economic affairs, they are not threatening to destroy the United States, as with North Korea or Iran. China is also a much bigger conventional and military threat than the Russian Federation, in terms of expansionist behavior.

In other news, TASS reported that Finland is ramping up security for the upcoming meeting between the two world leaders.

Finland’s authorities expect a heavy load on the VIRVE communication network for state structures, the broadcasting company reported. This network is used for communication by police, rescue services, border guards, defense forces and customs and first aid services.

“Data movement in the network during the meeting will focus in the places where the guests and their security service [employees] will be staying,” Yle quoted Janne Koivukoski, Deputy Director General for Rescue Services at the Finnish Ministry of the Interior, as saying. He added that the country’s authorities will cooperate with the security services of the two presidents during the summit.
