Russian President Vladimir Putin has decided Moscow must look for ways to better relations with the United States and is preparing to give U.S. President Trump a major concession at the upcoming Trump-Putin summit in Helsinki. In order to help preserve Israeli security and gain favor in America at the same time, reports are that Putin will allow Iranian forces to be removed from southern Syria, where Tehran has been massing troops to threaten the Jewish State.
At the same time, the thinking in Washington has changed as well, with the Trump administration ending the Obama focus on removing the Assad regime, and instead focusing on the elephant in the Middle East, the real Islamic state, the Islamic Republic of Iran, and its malign activities across the region which continue unabated. The Obama administration did nothing to slow the corrupt advance of the Mullah’s to the Mediterranean, in fact there is plenty of evidence Obama supported and enabled this advance, in a blow to American national security.

Putin has agreed in principle to U.S. and Israeli demands that Iranian-backed forces in southern Syria be kept away from Israel’s border, replaced with troops loyal to the government in Damascus, two Kremlin advisers said.

“We’ll see what happens when the two of them get together,” said Bolton, who’s long advocated regime change in the Islamic Republic. “There are possibilities for doing a larger negotiation on helping to get Iranian forces out of Syria and back into Iran, which would be a significant step forward,” wrote Bloomberg.

It seems The Donald is pushing for a real reset – this time engulfing the entire Middle East, along with Moscow. I doubt he will give Lavrov a plastic button from Staples however.
