Former Odessa mayor Mikheil Saakashvili said that his arrest on suspicion of abetting an alleged “criminal group” to illegally oust Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko was instead a gift to Russian President Vladimir Putin. “People didn’t believe it then and they don’t believe it now!” he declared.
