Belarus Urges Moscow To Exclude “Bookkeeping” From Relationship With Minsk

Russia and Belarus have not yet settled the oil and gas dispute that has lasted since the beginning of 2016, when Minsk declared the price of Russian gas to be unfair.

“By the way, we are already beginning to be frightened that we will buy natural gas at European prices, the fact that we will pay not $ 150 but $ 200. This, you know, is akin to hinting to everyone – in Russia, first and foremost Belarus, – that we are freeloaders in Russia: here, you see, they are doing us some kind of gift … Perhaps the vast majority of Russians and Russians think and understand that our relations with Russia is not accounting. Natural gas … should not be at the core of our relationship, – Lukashenko is quoted by Sputnik Belarus.

According to him, “Moscow-Minsk relations are based on something else.” “If someone wants to aggravate the situation and once again, instead of resolving questions, to reproach us, it will not work,” Lukashenko said.
