Ingushetia To Conduct Illegal Migrant Raids

Local authorities, at the request of the head of Ingushetia, Yunus-Bek Yevkurov will conduct raids to detect illegal immigrants in construction, labor exchanges and markets, reported the press service of the republic’s leadership.

“The head of the region held a meeting to discuss crime prevention, the fight against terrorism and extremism. He instructed the authorities to conduct raids to identify illegal immigrants on construction sites, labor exchanges and markets,” the press-service noticed. Yevkurov stressed the need to identify and deport illegal migrants to their homeland, according to Russian State News Agency TASS.

“Among the illegal migrants may be the so-called emissaries who come into the country to recruit people in radical groups. Therefore, migration services, and law enforcement agencies should be monitoring closely to ensure that people, who are not the citizens of Russia and live here without the consent of the authorities, do not stay in the republic,” he said.
