Vladimir Putin signed a decree dismissing the heads of several regional commanders of the Investigative Committee, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Federal Penitentiary Service, and the West Siberian Transport Prosecutor. The document is posted on the official Internet portal of legal information.
Thus, the head of the investigation area of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Leningrad region Alexey Mayakov, the deputy head of the Main Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Sverdlovsk Region Vladimir Romanyuk, the head of the FSIN Department for the Moscow Region Anatoly Tikhomirov, and the West Siberian Transport Prosecutor Sergei Feoktistov were ordered to resign.
By the same decree, the president made a number of appointments. In particular, Mikhail Chernikov has become the head of the “GIBDD” (State Road Traffic Safety Inspection), and Igor Trifonov has become the minister of internal affairs of the Karachay-Cherkess Republic.
Leaders of the SK (Investigative Committee of Russia) for the Krasnoyarsk Territory and St. Petersburg were also promoted in addition to the head of Moscow department of the Interior for the Rostov, Samara and Irkutsk regions, as well as the heads of the transport departments in the Volga, Ural, Far Eastern and North-Western federal districts were also appointed.
