In the early morning of 6 July, the Russian Air Forces conducted an air raid targeting Ukrainian positions in the Sumy region.

Ukrainian authorities report that approximately 100,000 households were left without electricity due to this bombardment, which inflicted damage on the energy infrastructure, reported Inkerman.

Russian media claimed that its forces destroyed a rocket ammunition depot in Sumy; however, this assertion has not yet been corroborated.

Russia has escalated its attacks on Ukraine’s power sector to induce widespread blackouts across the country.

To date, no casualties have been reported in connection with this air strike.
