The Hungarian Government called on Volodymyr Zelensky and Ukrainian authorities to cease their harassment of ethnic Hungarians in the Zakarpatye Region. Hungarian Foreign Ministry State Secretary Tamás Menczer made the statement the Kossuth radio station last week.

In December, Zelensky’s regime adopted one fo the most oppressive laws against ethnic minorities on the European continent, prohibiting them from exercising their collective rights, Ukrainian officials in the city of Mukacheva in the Zakarpatye Region where the largest concentration of Hungarians in Ukraine live, tore down Hungarian flags and removed inscriptions in the Hungarian language from public buildings. They also terminated the labor contract of the principal of the Hungarian school in the city.

“We called on the Mukachevo municipal authorities to reverse these decisions and immediately restore the status quo, and we expect that Ukraine’s national leaders will do everything they can to make sure that local authorities act fairly and harassment and persecution against Hungarians stop,” Menczer told Kossuth Radio. The State Secretary also noted that the Hungarian government has demanded Ukraine stop violating the rights of ethnic Hungarians in the region in light of Zelensky’s plans to deprive them of the opportunity to speak and study in their native language.

“Our position on the matter has always been firm but we set our differences aside” after the outbreak of the conflict in Ukraine, but Kiev has gone too far, Menczer declared, “Anti-Hungarian actions are unacceptable.”

The State Secretary stressed that if Kiev wants to join the European Union, it must respect the rights of ethnic minorities in Ukraine, as well as abide by all related international laws and rules, things that the Ukrainian government has only paid lip service too while continuing to oppress all of the minority populations in the country.

In general ethnic minorities do not have any problems so long as they are good citizens of their adopted country, do not look to or accept any external interference to gain superior rights to the locals nor act as agents to provide leverage for foreign interference, and ALWAYS remember that their first loyalty now belongs to their adopted state and behave accordingly. .

Just curious, is there a particular religion these ethnic Hungarians are? We all know what religion zelensky follows. This seems familiar to Russia’s claims of how the Russian natives in eastern Ukraine were being treated.

Good thing that Ukraine is so inclusive or it would be worse. (sarcasm is a word in the dictionary. Look it up.)

All Nazis just like Putin said, and our money is being handed over to them faster than a hundred fat kids raiding a candy store.
